Twinkle Hex Polish is handmade in small batches in Tennessee. We're all about bold colors, unexpected shifts, sparkly flakes, and a little bit of chaos.

We also believe you should know what's going into your polish.

Our Polish Bases

We use two professional suspension bases designed to keep pigments, glitters, flakes, and other special effects suspended in your polish.

According to our suspension base manufacturer, both bases are:

• 21-Free
• Vegan
• Cruelty-Free

Our finished polishes also contain pigments, shimmers, flakes, glitters, and other special-effect ingredients that vary depending on the shade.

What Does 21-Free Mean?

According to our suspension base manufacturer, 21-free means the bases are formulated without the following ingredients and ingredient categories:

• Animal-derived ingredients
• Toluene
• Benzene
• Xylene
• Formaldehyde releasers
• Formaldehyde resin
• Phthalates
• Cyclic silicones
• Camphor
• Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK)
• E-series glycol ethers
• Hydroquinone (HQ)
• Methoxyhydroquinone (MEHQ)
• Triphenyl phosphate (TPP)
• Nonylphenol ethoxylates
• Tert-butyl hydroperoxide
• Chromium oxide greens
• Bismuth oxychloride
• CMR substances (classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction)
• Synthetic fragrance
• Ethyl tosylamide

Because each polish contains its own combination of colorants and special effects, the 21-free designation refers specifically to our suspension bases rather than a verified claim for every finished formula.

Vegan & Cruelty-Free

Twinkle Hex Polish does not test on animals, and neither do our suppliers.

Both of our suspension bases are vegan, and we select vegan-friendly pigments, glitters, and special-effect ingredients.

We're working to update each polish with its complete ingredient list. Please reach out for a copy and we will gladly provide one while the website is being updated.

Suspension Base Ingredients

We use two different suspension bases depending on the formula.

Mica Suspension Base

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Acrylates Copolymer, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Benzophenone-1, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate.

Glitter Suspension Base

Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Silica, N-Butyl Alcohol, Benzophenone-3, Violet #2.

May Contain (+/-): Colorants & Special Effects

Depending on the shade, our polishes may contain some of the following ingredients:

• CI 77007 (Ultramarines)
• CI 77510 (Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide / Iron Blue)
• CI 77266 (Black 2)
• CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)
• CI 15850 (certain Red 6 and Red 7 colorants)
• CI 19140 (Yellow 5)
• CI 47005 (Yellow 10)
• Synthetic Fluorphlogopite
• Polyethylene Terephthalate (Glitter)
• Mica
• Silica

Not every polish contains every ingredient listed above. This is a general reference to ingredients used in our products, not a complete ingredient declaration for every shade. Additional colorants and effect ingredients may be present.

Pigments & Special Effects

Depending on the polish, you might find:

• Cosmetic-grade mica and shimmer pigments
• Glitter blends
• Color-shifting flakes
• Magnetic pigments
• Thermal and solar pigments
• Glow-in-the-dark pigments
• Holographic and iridescent effects

Different formulas create different finishes, which is part of what makes handmade polish so much fun.

Safety & Storage

• For external use on nails only.
• Nail polish is flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames, including during application and drying.
• Use in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not ingest.
• Keep out of reach of children.
